sunshine after rain

July 28, 2014

Heading north from Edinburgh yesterday and the traffic and torrential rain conspired to ensure that the highlight of the day was the restocking expedition to the supermarket.
It’s quite pleasant to go to sleep with the rain beating gently on Moomin’s roof, less so to wake up and discover it hasn’t stopped yet. Still, late morning found us enjoying this fabulous view and playing hide and seek with the Moray dolphins. They won.

Where in Moray is that? I lived in Elgin and often saw dolphins around Hopeman, but your picture doesn’t look like Hopeman…

What an amazing area to live. We have friends in Urquhart but it had been quite a while since we last visited. The beach on the picture, where we saw a couple of elusive glimpses of fin, was at the mouth of the Spey, at the WDCS centre.
