You could be forgiven

July 24, 2014

. . . for thinking that we live in Scotland, what with this blog being called Pictfamily. Actually the name came well before the blog, courtesy of my Sussex-dwelling cousin, who has always had an idiosyncratic approach and possibly thinks that Hadrian’s Wall runs through Watford Gap.
We have headed North for the summer though, and are currently staying in Edinburgh. One of yesterday’s highlights was a visit to the beautiful Scotland’s Tapestry currently on display at the Scottish Parliament building. I loved too many of the panels to show you them all, but was particularly taken with these Shetland knitters.

Certainly lovely so far, pandas and koalas at the zoo today. I’m such a sucker for cute animals!
We’re now trying to work out if we can get as far as Orkney.
