I have a cunning plan . . .

October 18, 2013

Today the Domestic Goddess and I introduced the Patient Photographer to the wonderful world of planning, à la 100 Days to Christmas. Granted she’s a bit late to the party on this one, since it started on September 16th, but on the other hand, we don’t have to worry about the whole Halloween and Thanksgiving thing, so we have time to catch up.

We headed into Manchester, first stop Paperchase so that we could each select a Christmas notebook, and of course we needed a matching pen – these things have to be done properly. We then repaired to the newly refurbished Oklahoma for coffee and cake and a spot of intensive list-making. Freshly motivated, the next stop was Abakhan, where the Patient Photographer was typically very disciplined and stuck to the yarn and flowers that were on her list, and the Domestic Goddess and I were typically undisciplined and branched out into tempting fabrics. In theory this will all feed into the Christmas gift planning. In practice, time alone will tell.

I’m watching this space with baited breath….Organisation around Christmas overawes me.

Organisation around Christmas, or indeed any other time, constantly eludes me but I am eternally (over)optimistic.. And at least the planning is fun!

well if you’re going to do it, you’ve got to do it right! Obviously this only applies to the planning stage.
