mad hatter

my hat so far

I got a little bit carried away, and have been knitting with enthusiasm. This scrumptious chunky is lovely to knit with, and after I’ve been knitting with sock wool and then lace weight for quite a while, it’s wonderfully speedy to knit up. It’s an interesting hat pattern, that knits round for the brim and then I pick up stitches to do the crown – as you can see I’m on the brim bit at the moment, with some short row shaping. Check out the fabulous Knitpro circular needles too – although this is a flat project, using a circular needles makes it much smaller and neater to pack away, and take with me, and means that I’m less likely to stab the husband if I’m knitting while he’s driving – it’s an important consideration!
