It was a funny old weekend . . .

March 9, 2010

. . . very little went according to plan, and it’s not like I produce much in the way of detailed plans in the first place.  But although the circumstances weren’t always great (one friend was in a carcrash – happily unharmed, unlike the car; another fell downstairs) I did end up spending a lot of time with friends, and that’s always nice.

The Domestic Goddess had a bit of a nightmare on Friday as a driver crashed into her car.  No-one was hurt, but she ended up being checked out in hospital with the baby, and the Creative Crafter and I kept her company there, so it was really quite pleasant apart from the surroundings.

Then the Efficient Organiser’s boys came for tea on Friday, so I was spurred into action on the dining-table clearing front – there had been an awful lot of colonising by stuff.  And it pushed us all into getting together again the next day, so that was good.

To cap it all it was the Creative Crafter’s turn to visit A & E in her own right on Sunday to get her ankle checked out after the stairs incident.  The Domestic Goddess was roped in to babysit and when they headed off to the park I went along riding shotgun with Super Girl.

Great end to the weekend, as I met up with friends I have known since NCT days with Boy Wonder.  There are three of us, and we get together for a meal every three months or so, to catch up with each others’ lives.  Although our lives are all going in different directions, it’s good to get together.
